We’re thrilled to announce Flora’s Winged Adventure: The Migration of a Monarch Butterfly—New England to El Rosario, now co-authored and beautifully illustrated with Alex Lehner. Working with Alex is always a joy. Her vibrant, nature oriented illustrations bring warmth and wonder to the pages, a welcome sense of light in an often chaotic world.

Readers will follow Flora, a monarch butterfly, as she begins her remarkable migration along the Appalachian Trail from Maine to Georgia, discovering flowers, meeting fellow pollinators, and exploring national parks along the way. From there, Flora turns west through Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Texas, finally reaching her winter home in El Rosario, Mexico, jjoining hundreds of monarchs in a breathtaking natural gathering. It’s a story of perseverance, connection, and the quiet magic of nature’s long journeys.
