Lucky Penny on the road with Ole's Dark Sky Journey

As a recent recipient for the 2023 Center for the Book award as part of the Library of Congress in Washington, DC, I have set a personal goal to bring our book to all 29 counties in Utah. During Utah Humanities annual Book Festival I brought our book to two schools in Wayne County. I read to two classes of second graders at Loa Elementary School. A few weeks later I drove to Hanksville and read to all ELEVEN students (minus two who were out that day) in kindergarten through 4th grade.

"Melissa Marsted read to our 2nd grade at Loa Elementary School and to all of our students at Hanksville Elementary School. The students loved the artwork in "Ole's Dark Sky Journey." They were engaged in the story and asked good questions about his journey. Melissa was kind and donated books to our school libraries. It was a fun experience for students."
